Officially another one of those pics that need to be explained before I get into trouble. If you grew up playing video games through the late 80's and early 90's you may have noticed that a lot of the girls you have to rescue are blonde women in red dresses. Or maybe you didn't notice. Anyway, I wrote an article on it for ScrollBoss and wanted to draw artwork for it. Instead of my usual comic-booky style, I used a slightly more cartoony one that I've mostly kept under wraps. Thing is, there's only one that I really liked. In fact, I think this one was my favorite face or head pasted onto the body that I think turned out the best. The original plan was to have a bunch of them in the same pic as a way of saying, 'Man, you guys did this... a lot.' but I only ended up doing this one. I may get around to drawing and/or coloring more and making them a bit of an in-joke for parts of the site. The hair is slightly based on Farrah Fawcett's style from the 70's as a reference to how much blondes are worshipped in modern western civilization. Oh, snap! Holding a mirror to society like an MF! |
