This was made for the GroupShot generator on ScrollBoss for use with an image layout that looks like the packaging artwork for Konami's games for the Nintendo Entertainment System. My original plan was to try and take a graphic of the castle from one of the games and alter it to look like that but then decided to try whipping up throwing together a quick version of that background. Yeah, it was supposed to be quick but I wound up putting more work into than I planned. It's still not 100% finished. There's a link to a work progress animation that shows some of the steps I took while working on it. It's not that complete because I concentrated on getting the thing done in time for the update. The last step where the mist becomes transparent was when I made the fog layer transparent to look a bit like the same effect used on the SNES system. |
