My first scratch-made sprite of the Metroid pulls reference from the later games in the series but is mostly based on the original NES sprite right down to the placement of the biggest fluid vessels/nerves/whatever matching those in the old sprite. Most of the coloring is based on the Super Metroid version with more details coming from the later games. The gloss effect here was basically my attempt to recreate a slight "dodge" effect as the lighting fades out. |
