Catwoman Captured (D.C. Comics) - 2000
Artwork by James Beaver

If any of my pin-ups needed explaining, it's definitely this one. Years and years ago, Wizard Magazine #48 debuted with a great Jim Balent cover to it. While I liked it, I just couldn't see Catwoman getting away with doing that. For those who don't know, Supergirl and Wonder Woman, well, they can fly. Catwoman can't. They can fly faster than she can leap from rooftop to roof top. So, in my head, I figured that Catwoman would be smiling like that for a good 20 seconds (and I'm really being kind there). So, I drew this as "Wizard Comics #48: 20 seconds later." People that saw that issue of Wizard laughed, but even people who never saw the cover still liked it. A lot. Sadly enough, someone else actually had to explain to me why some people liked it so much. I'm not even going to say why. If you know, then you know. If you don't, then maybe it's all for the best. And yes, I purposefully avoided giving you an upskirt peek at Supergirl. Isn't this pic pervy enough as it is? BTW: this picture isn't any knock to Jim Balent, who I apologize to right by Wonder Woman's right knee ^_^
