Marshall Law vs. Baek Doo San (Tekken) - 1998 Artwork by James Beaver I did a bunch of artwork trying to get a job with the company that was doing a Tekken comic book at the time and I did this to try and prove that I could draw a decent martial arts fight. I chose Law and Baek because they're rivals in the game and happen to be two of my favorite characters from Tekken 2. Even with this bad scan you can see why I didn't get the job: this looks like butt. I don't like Baek's kick in the first panel but the purposeful misdirect of the elbow strike masking that upcoming kick to the leg is still my favorite part. It probably annoys people but I love doing stuff like that. I'm not sure if you can tell (or care)in this scan but this is happening in Baek's stage from Tekken 2.
