Just your typical pic of a hero in front of a 'this is your life' montage. Decidedly before his life got wrecked to complete crap, that is. It gave me a chance to draw a lot of other people, like GL's John Stewart, Guy Gardner and Tomar-Re, plus a lil' cameo by Green Arrow and Black Canary. I'd like to draw solo pics with most of these characters as well, especially Sinestro, one of my favorite bad guys. A few years back it was kind of depressing to think about how many of these characters got depowered and/or killed off, but most of them are back now. I mean, really... it's not like they'd made anyone as cool as Kilowog after they killed him.I think I killed off quite a few of my green markers while making this one. At over $2 a marker back then, that was nothing ot sneeze at. If I were to do this pic now, I'd find a way to mute the background a bit lot more and only have the green be bright when it's energy. |
